INSTANT CANINE FAMILY !!

Peanuts and Charlie Brown (formerly Rambo and Charlie) were surrendered to the Pound due to a change in their owner's circumstances.  Having grown up together, they're are the best of mates and so they must be rehomed together. They're ideally suited to retirees looking for a 'His and Hers' pair of companions. Peanuts and Charlie Brown only need a short walk each day and then back home to keep their human pals company for the rest of the day and evening ... access to TV watching is recommended !

UPDATE 19 OCTOBER: "Dear World, since Aunty Ronda rescued us back in February this year we have been enjoying a passing parade of foster pals to hang out with but we don’t understand why no one has enquired about adopting us ? We’re now called: Peanuts and Charlie Brown and, as Aunty Ronda will confirm, we are just the most loving pair of doggy pals anyone could hope to adopt !! We know we get our share of cuddles and lap time around Paws Lodge but, to have our own pair of owners with one lap each would be just grand! Especially as we both have soooo many more years to live - our life expectancy is around 15 to 18 years. Surely there must be a pair of retirees out there somewhere who’d like an adoring pair of 'his and her' doggy pals in their life?"

AUNTY RONDA'S UPDATE ON PEANUTS AND CHARLIE BROWN: This pair of little darlings deserve to be considered for adoption. Their personalities are quite different but they are the best of pals. Peanuts loves to hand out kisses when you’re not looking! Charlie Brown is quite fleet at foot and does a little dance every night as he’s picked up to be put into their sleeping area. He also preens the other foster dogs that have grooming type coats as if to say 'No point in letting their coat get too long Aunty Ronda 'I’ll just preen away and keep it short for you' while looking up very pleased with himself!' Neither are fussy eaters or barkers - just two little pals who adore each other and everything in their world and who have a lot to give their forever new owners!

THANK YOU TO LANIS OF DUBBO AND SUE OF NEWCASTLE FOR THEIR KIND DONATIONS TO HELP PEANUTS AND CHARLIE BROWN!!

TUSKY

Male Maltese X Shih Tzu

Aged approx. 6 years

Small size

Tusky is a happy little dog who is always happy to hang out with his doggy foster pals when no one is around but, when the humans arrive, he goes looking for lots of pats and cuddles plus a lap or two to snuggle up to. Tusky is ideally suited to retirees or a work from home owner(s). Another doggy pal would be nice but, as long as he has a daily walk to greet the outside world, he'll be a happy chappy. Tusky's coat is the full grooming type hence regular trips to the grooming parlour for the remainder of his 12-15 year lifespan is needed.

THANK YOU TO
DOREEN OF LAKE MACQUARIE FOR HER KIND DONATION TOWARDS TUSKY'S CARE

SKIPPER

Male Pomeranian X

Aged approx. 18 months

Small size

The Pound Staff thought Skipper may be a Skipperke X but he’s more like a blonde coloured Pom  X. Either way, he’s a lovable little rascal that loves to be involved in anything that going on - a game of chase, gardening, tapping his paws to see if his dinner is ready yet! Skipper is ideally suited to active retirees who have the grandkids calling in on a regular basis. He’ll love his good walk every day and then settle down with you to watch TV. Skipper's coat is the non-grooming type and just needs a good brush through twice weekly for the remainder of his 12-15 years.

Skipper comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with NSW Local Council lifetime registration for $330. If you would like more information on Skipper or to arrange to meet him, please phone Ronda on 02 49308015 or 0418 123852 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email her using ADOPTION ENQUIRY as your Subject Heading. WELLINGTON

Male Purebred Mini Foxy

Aged approx. 18 months

Small size

Wellington is another JAF (Just Another Foxy and one of hundreds on offer through the Pounds). For those owners who love their Foxys then look no further! 'Wellie' (as he’s nicknamed) is loving, well socialised with people and other doggies and he deserves the best forever home. This would preferably be with another small dog to hang out with, especially when mum and dad are at work and the kids at school. But when the kids are home he’ll be taking part in any game on offer! Wellington's coat is low maintenance and just needs a good brush through once each week for the remainder of his 12-15 years of life.

Wellington comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with NSW Local Council lifetime registration for $330. MY BOY CHARLIE

Male Purebred Mini Foxy

Aged approx. 6 months

Small size

My Boy Charlie was surrendered to the Pound due to changes in his owner’s circumstances. Yes he’s another JAF (Just Another Foxy - and every Pound always has several on offer!) but they are a very practical dog for Aussie lifestyles. Compact size, tough genes, love to be involved in all things lively around the house, great with other doggies and just love kids to bits. My Boy Charlie fits all of this criteria and then some - he even knew how to sit unaided to have his photo taken - one very smart and intelligent little fella. Our bet is he’ll top the class at Obedience School! My Boy Charlie is well suited to a young family and preferably with another small doggy pal for company when the adults are at work and the kids at school. His coat is the low maintenance type and just needs a brush through once a week for the remainder of his 12-15 years.

My Boy Charlie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with NSW Local Council lifetime registration for $330. BOOF

Male Purebred Long Hair Chihuahua

Aged approx. 4 years

Small size

Boof is a happy, go lucky little fella and deserves to be as he was brought to the Pound almost dead, suffering from severe starvation and dehydration due to his owner’s demise. By the time he was found the vets gave his chances of survival at 100 to 1 but his fighting spirit and beautiful nature have pulled him through. Boof's ideal body weight is 5kg and he only weighed just 2kg after about 10 days in intensive care but is up to 3.5kg now and ready to be adopted into his new, forever home. Boof is ideally suited to senior owners and only needs a small property ... even a townhouse or retirement village would be fine for this little fella. Older grandchildren would be fine but he still darts away from unexpected movements so would not suit a home with children under 10 years. Boof's coat is low maintenance and just needs a quick brush through once every week for the remainder of his 15-18 years. A special thanks to the vets and staff at Green Cross Vets Rutherford for their efforts in saving save little Boof!

NARLA

Female Purebred Beagle

Aged approx. 18 months

Small size

Narla was surrendered due to a change in her owner’s circumstances and is a well socialised girl that plays for hours with her PAWS foster pals, she sits for her food and will learn the basic obedience skills very easily. Narla is best suited to a family or active owners with a large yard and another doggy pal to play and chill out with when no one is at home. She’ll loves her daily walks on the lead ad, being a Beagle, is not a breed to be let off lead in open spaces as they get on the scent of something and don’t come back!! Narla is small for her breed and weighs about 10kg so is just on the cusp of the small/medium size range. Her coat is low maintenance and just needs a good brush through once a week for the remainder of her 12-15 years.

This little fella has a great attitude to life - every morning he looks up as if to say 'Hello Aunty Ronda - my cup is half full today!' Buster Fidess loves hanging out with his doggy foster pals and is always up for a cuddle. He's well suited to a family who have another small doggy pal for Buster to play with when no one is at home.
